LGBTQ+ Voices from Germany: Authors Angela Steidele & Gunther Geltinger

Angela Steidele has written several books about LGBTQ+ lives in the 18th and 19th centuries, including “Gentleman Jack: a Biography of Anne Lister” (2017). Gunther Geltinger has published three semi-autobiographical novels, including “Benzin” (2019). Coastal Carolina University’s Department of Languages and Intercultural Studies welcomes these two contemporary German writers for readings from their works (in English translation), followed by a discussion on their experiences as LGBTQ+ authors. The event takes place April 15th at 4:30 p.m., in the Alford Ballroom of Atheneum Hall, on the CCU campus in Conway.
